Candle Care

A beautiful candle deserves a beautiful burn!

Follow these simple steps to get the best scent, the longest life, and the most even burn from your ALLEGRE candle:

01

THE FIRST BURN MATTERS

Your candle remembers its first burn. The first time you light it, allow the wax to melt close to the edges of the vessel before extinguishing it. This helps prevent tunneling and encourages a smooth, even burn throughout the life of your candle.

Consider it your excuse to stay awhile.

02

TRIM YOUR WICK

Before every burn, trim your wick to approximately ¼ inch.

A properly trimmed wick helps keep the flame controlled, reduces excess soot, and gives your candle a cleaner, more consistent burn.

SIZE MATTERS... TINY TRIM, BIG DIFFERENCE.

03

GIVE IT TIME, BUT NOT TOO MUCH

For the best experience, burn your candle long enough for an even melt pool to develop, but no longer than 4 hours at a time.

Let the candle cool completely before lighting it again.

04

FIND THE RIGHT SPOT

Candles like a little peace and quiet too.

Burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, fans, open windows, and air vents. Moving air can cause an uneven flame and affect the way your candle burns.

05

KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE

We know. It’s hard.

Stop burning your candle when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Burning beyond this point can cause the container to become excessively hot.

THE GOOD NEWS? IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED ANOTHER CANDLE!

06

KEEP YOUR CANDLE BEAUTIFUL

When your candle isn’t burning, keep it somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

For the best fragrance experience, replace the lid when not in use to help preserve the scent and to keep the wax clean and free of debris.

07

MOST IMPORTANTLY, BURN SAFELY

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles away from children, pets, flammable materials, and anything else that probably shouldn’t meet an open flame.

Please be smart and do not burn your house down. Always extinguish your candle before leaving the room or going to sleep.

GOOD TO KNOW

A NOTE ABOUT COCONUT-SOY WAX

ALLEGRE candles are made with coconut-soy wax, and natural waxes can occasionally develop small variations in texture or appearance.

You may notice slight frosting, unevenness after burning, or subtle changes in the surface of the wax. These are normal characteristics of plant-based wax and do not mean anything is wrong with your candle.

Perfection can be a little overrated anyway.
